Depression Alliance

The challenges

• Create a place to provide a wealth of information on Depression and the charities’ work.
• Construct a directory for a nationwide network of self help groups.
• Develop a content manangement system for the organisation to use.

My part in the story

After helping the Depression Alliance with their website for a few months the opportunity came for me to help them to modernise and expand the web presence. Working closely with Daniel Hutchinson we first developed a set of prototype responsive pages. We then iterated on these tweaking the layout across our target devices. Alongside this I was leveraging Django’s CMS capabilities to put together a custom management solution for the team at Depression Alliance to maintain the website with ease of use. I covered all the technical aspects of this site build from frontend layouts to server administration.
